A history of flavour ...
The little tale of a big biscuit factory
The best recipes are often discovered purely by chance ... ln 1955, the pastry chef Lucien Petit had a modest little shop in the town of la Trinité-sur-Mer. One day, he missed one of his recipes and, instead of throwing the dough away, he decided to try to bake it and to roll it once out of the oven.
Completely by accident, Lucien Petit had invented a classic: the Cigarette, a thin rolled biscuit, made with pure churn butter! Success came soon after, leading to the creation of the La Trinitaine biscuit factory.
Since then, the Petit family is still working in the kitchen and proud to carry on its pastry-making tradition from generation to generation.
At La Trinitaine, everything is gourmandise: thin and thick pure butter Breton biscuits, rolled biscuits, and also tender madeleines, pound cakes and filled cakes ... For more than fifty years, our goal has been to make delicious cakes and pastries in the traditional way in our factory in St-Philibert, Brittany, using the highest quality ingredients.
The pleasure you get from eating our cakes makes it all worthwhile.
