HEV or "High Environmental Value"corresponds to the highest level of a more general scheme of environmental certification for farms. It is a French certification supervised by the Code of Agriculture and the Code of Maritime Fishing in order to promote environmentally-friendly agricultural practices that conserve biodiversity and natural resources. HEV covers four key areas: biodiversity conservation, plant protection strategy, management of fertiliser use and management of water.
