YSLAB takes its name from the legendary breton sunken city Ys, Cornish capital of Gradlon the Great (Fifth century), most famous French maritime myth.

Located in Quimper, in the south-west of Brittany, YSLAB benefits from a highly stimulating environment, being surrounded by international renowned state organisms which focus is the ocean and its biodiversity.
