Oyster farmer based in Abers's country in Brittany for 5 generations we cultivate crassostrea gigas and ostrea edulis from natural spats to adult size. With a domain of 100 hectares we produce +/- 500 tons per year.
Since 1898, the Madec's family has been breeding and distributing the popular PRAT-AR-COUM oysters to the most renowned restaurants in France & abroad. The Abers are branches of sea which penetrate into the lands like fjords & allow confluence of the ocean and fresh river water. This unique melt feeds the oysters with plankton and gives the Prat-Ar-Coum their particular and unique flavour.
